DESTINATIONS-PAKISTAN

Pakistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is a country in South Asia. It is the world's fifth-most populous country, with a population of almost 242 million, and has the world's second-largest Muslim population. Pakistan is the 33rd-largest country by area, spanning 881,913 square kilometres (340,509 square miles). It has a 1,046-kilometre (650-mile) coastline along the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman in the south, and is bordered by India to the east, Afghanistan to the west, Iran to the southwest, and China to the northeast. It is separated narrowly from Tajikistan by Afghanistan's Wakhan Corridor in the north, and also shares a maritime border with Oman.

The diversity of the landscape and climate in Pakistan allows a wide variety of trees and plants to flourish. The forests range from coniferous alpine and subalpine trees such as spruce, pine, and deodar cedar in the extreme northern mountains to deciduous trees in most of the country (for example, the mulberry-like shisham found in the Sulaiman Mountains), to palms such as coconut and date in the southern Punjab, southern Balochistan, and all of Sindh. The western hills are home to juniper, tamarisk, coarse grasses, and scrub plants. Pakistan is a country with many interesting animals that can be hunted only there such as Markhor, various types of Urial, Sind and Himalayan ibex.

The hunt is done in the low Asian mountains in the southern part of the country where reign Urial and Sind Ibex and in the steep, difficult mountains in the hinterland on Markhor. The only animal hunted in high altitudes is Himalayan ibex.

The hunt proceeds on horseback but more often on foot, thus a good physical condition is necessary. The accommodation is in small hotels in the places near the hunting areas.
